Bertazzoni Heritage Review

The Bertazzoni Heritage Series is an entire suite of kitchen appliances that are meant to combine a classic look with technological advancements.

The line is reminiscent of vintage pieces that speak to the imagination of the original founders of the company.

Beautiful colors and sharp lines create a feeling of timeless style and sophistication that would be amazing in any kitchen.

Everything in the Heritage Series line is available in different sizes to accommodate both large and small residential kitchens.

What Is The Bertazzoni Heritage?

Bertazzoni Heritage in the center of kitchen

Aptly named, the Bertazzoni Heritage Series takes inspiration from the company’s fascinating history. The company, founded in Italy by Francesco and his son, Antonio, in the late 19th century.

In all that time, the company has remained in the hands of the family, and it all began because Francesco figured out a way to reinvent the stoves that were being used in railcars at the time.

It wasn’t until 1909 that they built their first company factory, but the company has only gotten stronger and more well-known over time.

While Bertazzoni is a household name in Europe, it has more recently entered the market in Canada and the United States back in 2005.

For over a hundred years, the company has manufactured quality products and as such have developed a stellar reputation among professionals as well as your novice at-home cooks.

The result has been a full line of major kitchen appliances that make up the Heritage Series.

More About Bertazzoni’s Care And Warranty Coverage

Bertazzoni provides excellent customer care and service across all of their products. You can find a trained professional somewhere near you if you reach out to them and let them know what you need.

Better yet, you can reach them via phone or email. If you send an email, expect that they won’t get back to you until Monday if you were to email them on Saturday or Sunday. During the week, they answer promptly and are happy to help.

On their site, there is also a complete library that includes every single manual for every appliance they have ever manufactured. You’ll also find a list of care instructions for all of them available in either English or French.

For every appliance, Bertazzoni also offers a two-year warranty that covers parts and labor. In order to take advantage of it, activating your warranty is a much-needed thing to do as soon as you get your appliance delivered to you.

Activating your warranty is important because the contact information you submit is how the company will reach you in the event that they ever need to let you know about a recalled part. The information you give them also lets them know whether or not your unit is still under warranty.

It’s not required to activate your warranty, but it is highly recommended. If you don’t and you need service, it will be more difficult to get service unless you happen to have proof of purchase or they can find it on their end.

Consider warranty activation as a safety net, too, in case anything should ever happen to your home or your unit.

If you ever have the misfortune of experiencing a flood or a fire that damages your Bertazzoni appliance, having that proof of purchase gives you credence to submit the information to your insurance company to have it replaced.

Activation is easy to do, too. You fill out the form online and submit it right then and there. Bertazzoni puts a high priority on customer confidentiality and promises that they will never sell your contact information to anyone else.

Pros And Cons

When you start comparing appliances like the ones in the Bertazzoni Heritage series, there are a lot of things to choose from.

Remember to compare things like size, capacity, and specific individual features to ensure you’re selecting the best one.

To do that, it helps to have a basic pros and cons list to start making your decision.

                                                                             Pros

  • All of the units have a stainless steel finish that claims to not harbor fingerprinting. That makes life easier for everyone when it comes to cleaning.
  • The ranges all have a solid stainless steel top which makes it easier to clean. The burners are also removable and equally easy to clean.
  • Depending on the model of refrigerator that you choose, the larger models have folding glass shelves on the inside. If you’re a baker, this is a great feature to have if you bake taller cakes.
  • The ranges and hoods also coordinate with each other to give you a uniform and classy look to your kitchen.
  • The various sizes of the ranges and hoods also allow for different spaces, so if you have a smaller kitchen, you don’t have to sacrifice quality for space.
  • All of the dishwashers that Bertazzoni manufacture have multiple cycles to tailor your wash exactly how you need it. If you only have glass that needs to be washed, there’s a cycle for that.

 Cons

  • The prices on these appliances are pretty high, so you need to be ready to spend a higher amount of money.
  • The warranty is only for two years, so if something happens after those two years, you will be able to find service, but you’ll be responsible for the costs.
  • The ranges and hoods in the Bertazzoni Heritage Series are only available with a matte color, so you cannot purchase them in a stainless steel option. What you see is what you get.
  • None of the ranges have a touchscreen or fancy digital options, but they’re all robust pieces of kitchen equipment.
  • None of the refrigerators have a drink dispenser, but that may or may not be an issue for you.
  • You can only find any of these pieces through an authorized dealer, which means you might not be able to drive to an appliance store and simply pick one up.

The Final Verdict

Bertazzoni appliances like the ones in the Heritage Series are beautiful pieces of equipment that add a sense of class and sophistication to your kitchen.

Purchasing any one of them would be an excellent addition.

Read reviews on what you’re looking for specifically. If you’re thinking about a refrigerator, then read reviews about that fridge and the ones that are also comparable to it.

Decide on what your “must haves” are compared to your non-essentials for the appliance you’re considering.

Do you want a double oven? Do you have the space for a double oven? Do you want to have that splash of color? Would you prefer to have stainless steel throughout?

Those are all questions you’ll need to answer before you take the plunge and select the unit that you’re going to purchase.

Even if it isn’t a Bertazzoni Heritage appliance, you still need to be sure about what you buy, so you don’t have buyer’s regret later.
